Web player setup
Three steps, once
After this, Rhoe opens on the channel you were last watching and stays out of the way.

Install Rhoe
Grab the build for the device in your hand. Each one is a real native app, not a wrapper around a web page.
-
Add your connection
Paste the server URL and password your provider gave you, drop in an M3U link, or open a playlist file. Rhoe recognises what it is looking at.
-
Sign in to sync — optional
Type your email address and the code we send. Your language, favourites and watch progress then follow you to every other device.
YOU BRING THE CONNECTION
We’ll take it from here.
Server URL, username and password
A playlist link or a local file
Portal URL and MAC address
One media URL. Press play.
What each build needs
| Build | Minimum version | Player | 4K / HEVC |
|---|---|---|---|
| Android | Android 8.0 (API 26) | ExoPlayer, libVLC fallback | Yes |
| Android TV / Fire TV | Android TV 9 | ExoPlayer, libVLC fallback | Yes |
| iPhone & iPad | iOS 15.1 | AVPlayer, libVLC fallback | Yes |
| Browser | Any current browser | hls.js | Audio only on most desktops |
Desktop browsers generally cannot decode HEVC, so a 4K channel plays with sound and no picture there. The native apps play the same channel normally.
Stuck on the first screen?
Setup problems are almost always one wrong character in a server URL. Send us what you are seeing.
